The first layer, referred to as finishing coat, is usually polyester or relative improved product. Different finishing coats differ in hardness, adhesive force and anti-corrosion. As the most frequently applied one, polyester is featured by good hardness, satisfying adhesive force, common durability and medium price. Silicon modified polyester overshadows polyester in durability of gloss and color, but its adhesive force is less stronger. High durable polyester combines advantages of both and is of the best cost performance. PVDF has excellent durability and good adhesive force, but lower hardness, less colors and high price. The other layer of coat is called base coat, including epoxy resin, polyester and PU. These coats also differ in adhesive force, flexibility and corrosion resistance. Epoxy resin adheres stickily to the aluminum sheet, has strong anti-corrosion ability yet dissatisfying flexibility compared to other base coats. Polyester is featured by good adhesive force and flexibility but worse corrosion resistance. PU turns to be of the best comprehensive property. The property of coats for colored aluminum sheet is influenced by its application, environmental corrosion, durability, process methods, deformation degree etc.
